Clinton Community Schools celebrated its annual homecoming festivities this past week with themed Spirit Days throughout the school week, a convincing varsity football victory Friday night and the crowning of the 2025 homecoming king and queen. The week of fall merriment was capped off with a semi-formal dance Saturday night in the Clinton High School cafeteria.
Spirit Week, which was observed Sept. 15-19, consisted of the following themed school days in which students and staff were encouraged to show their school spirit and dress accordingly:
• Monday, Sept. 15: Monochromatic Monday. Seniors were encouraged to wear “grout” colored clothing, juniors blue clothing, sophomores black, and freshmen green.
• Tuesday, Sept. 16: Adam Sandler Day
• Wednesday, Sept. 17: Soccer Mom vs. BBQ Dad
• Thursday, Sept. 18: America Day
• Friday, Sept. 19: Red and Black Day
When Friday rolled around and the homecoming celebrations were in high gear, the varsity Redwolves football team drilled visiting Dundee by a score of 57-8 in Lenawee County Athletic Association (LCAA) play. The gridiron battle also marked the return of senior Bryce Randolph to the football field for his season debut after breaking his leg in early spring.
“He only got a couple plays tonight,” Clinton football Coach Casey Randolph said following the conclusion of the homecoming football victory. “That was more about a senior playing in homecoming. He’s not playing where he normally does quite yet. It was pretty good to see him padded up.”
The 2025 homecoming king and queen were announced and crowned during halftime of Friday’s football game. Seniors Eli Turner and Dalia Albashir were selected as king and queen, respectively, from a field of six homecoming royalty hopefuls. Also vying for the crowns were seniors Tanner Bolton, Brailey Gibson, Lillian Trubiano and Teagan Zbikowski.
