The final two weeks of the regular season is upon Lenawee County and the rest of the state.
It means the playoff push is well underway as teams are looking to position themselves into the field of 32, or 16 in 8-player football.
Here’s a look at each program’s position as the teams prepare for these final weeks:
PLAYOFF BOUND
Adrian
The Maples at 6-1 are sitting pretty and will be in the playoffs for the third time in four seasons under head coach Joel Pryzgodski. This Adrian team, led by a stifling defense, is 10th in playoff points in Division 3 and finish the regular season at home against Jackson (2-5) and at New Boston Huron (3-4).
Britton Deerfield
The Patriots are 7-1 and outright champions of the SCAA White and will be in the playoffs for the third time in five years. BD is currently ranked fourth in playoff points in Division 2 8-player. The Patriots have only had two home games this year, but will be at home the next two weeks against Burr Oak (3-4) and Camden Frontier (3-4) and will most likely be hosting at least one playoff game as well.
Clinton
Clinton is 5-2 with both losses coming against Division 7 No. 1 Monroe SMCC and Division 8 No. 1 Hudson. The Redwolves lost to the Tigers in Week 7 and will be at 6-1 Ida and host 3-4 Ubly to finish the regular season. Clinton is ranked No. 13 in playoff points in Division 7.
Hudson
The road to Ford Field travels right down 127 and through Thompson Field as the Tigers are sitting 7-0 and at least a share of the LCAA title. Hudson has the most playoff points by 4.142 and takes on Division 6 Hillsdale (0-7) at home and a good Division 5 Barrien Springs (4-1) team on the road.
ON THE BUBBLE
Lenawee Christian
At 4-3, the Cougars face a big game this week at home against Division 1 8-player Concord (4-3) and then finish the season at home against unbeaten Division 2 8-player Mendon. LCS is currently 20th in playoff points in Division 2 8-player and are 2.929 points behind Hillman, who has the 16th and final spot.
Madison
The Trojans are holding onto a playoff spot at 4-3 on the season and ranked No. 30 in Division 6 and are less than a point ahead of the first team out of the playoffs. Madison finishes the season on the road at Onsted (3-4) and Tecumseh (4-3) and one more win could secure the Trojans spot and two will do it for sure with one being against Division 4 Tecumseh.
Onsted
The Wildcats are knocking on the door of sneaking into the playoffs. At 3-4 and sitting 37th in Division 6 playoff points, and less than two points out of the final spot. Onsted will host Madison in a big matchup this week and will host Division 4 Detroit Henry Ford (3-4). The Trojans will be a big test, but a win would go a big way playing a winnable game against Henry Ford.
Tecumseh
After a win against Division 1 Taylor in Week 7, Tecumseh (4-3) is in a good spot at 25th in playoff points in Division 4. Tecumseh has a big home game this week against Division 3 Ypsilanti, who is also on the bubble at 3-4, before hosting Madison (4-3) to end the regular season.
MAYBE NEXT YEAR
Addison
The Panthers are experiencing a rebuilding year in 2025 and, while they did pick up a 22-7 win against Homer in Week 6, Addison is 1-6 and currently 47th in playoff points in Division 8 and almost 10 points behind 32nd Summerfield, who is holding onto the final playoff spot.
Blissfield
The Royals have battled injures this season and sit 1-6 on the season. Blissfield is currently 44th, 5.143 points out of the final playoff spot in Division 7 (currently held by Quincy). Blissfield also has two winnable games to finish the season at Division 5 Dundee (1-6) and Division 6 Hillsdale (0-7).
Morenci
The Bulldogs are 2-5 on the season and 31st in Division 2 8-player playoff points, meaning Morenci will miss out on a fifth-straight playoff and seventh-straight not counting the 2020 season where all teams were included. Morenci will be in Ohio at Sandusky SMCC (6-1) and host Litchfield (3-4) to finish the season.
Sand Creek
The Aggies are 0-7 and ranked last in playoff points after having to forfeit two of their last games due to injuries and illness. Sand Creek is hoping to be at Stockbridge (3-4) this week and finish the season at home in a crossover against the Southwest 10 conference.
