Hudson finished short of its goal of winning a Division 8 state championship but the Tigers impressed the voters on the Michigan Sportswriters All-State panel.
Hudson put four players on the first team, including the Division 7-8 player of the year in Beckett Campbell.
Others making the first team include Campbell’s teammates Grayson Bills at defensive back and offensive lineman Malachi Marshall and R.J. Thompson.
Campbell finished the season with 2,453 yards while the Tigers rushed for 5,608 yards as a team, second-most in state history.
Bills was first team All-State last year at running back. He made the team at defensive back this year after making 38 tackles and finishing with five interceptions. He also rushed for 1,942 yards.
Britton Deerfield and Lenawee Christian each put two players on the 8-Player first team.
BD’s Andrew Bunker and Alex Anspach made the team on the offensive and defensive lines while LCS had the first team kicker in Max Stamats and first team athlete in Jaxon Salenbien.
Earning second team honors were Adrian running back Luke Bruggeman and Clinton linebacker Bryce Randolph.
