Four undefeated teams remain in Division 8 and two of them will be facing one another when Springport visits Thompson Field Friday night.

Spartan coach Ben Pack said Hudson is the best team they have faced all season.

"Their athleticism and size is a great fit for their schemes on offense and defense, and their execution proves how well coached they are," Pack said. "It is obvious the Hudson players have years of repetitions within their system, as they play with speed and confidence."

The Tigers have two outstanding running backs in Beckett Campbell and Grayson Bills. The dynamic duo has rushed for more than 3,100 yards combined this season.

Springport will counter with a passing attack led by quarterback Gibson Overweg, who has passed for 1,339 yards and 14 touchdowns.

"They are a very athletic team that creates matchup problems all over the field," Hudson coach Dan Rogers said. "We need to control the football on offense and try to limit big plays on defense."

The Spartan defense has allowed just 93 points all season.

"They run to the ball and tackle very well," Rogers said.

The Hudson-Springport winner will face the winner of Allen Park Cabrini (10-1) and Madison Heights Madison (10-1).
